Its an awesome game that can be played in three different ways- Action, Role playing and story. The game is also a good space simulation. And one of the favorite top game among gamers.

If you are reading this topic then it means you are facing a certain problem. The infamous 'Mass Effect 3 has stopped working'. This is a common problem some of the games are facing due to some missing software or file. But it doesn't mean you can't play the game.
If you are on Windows 10 there is a high possibility that you have come across this problem, but its really easy to fix. But still these Fix May or May Not Work!.

So the fix is simple. All you have to do is change the Compatibility of the game. Open your game directory (default directory should be in c:/ drive), then locate your Mass Effect 3 game EXE file (Should be masseffect3.exe) then Right-Click on the file and select Properties.Select Compatibility tab and tick Run this program in compatibility mode for, and then select Windows 7 from the drop down menu. Also tick Run this program as an administrator and hit Apply then OK. Thats It! The game should run without any problem now. If it doesn't work try Windows XP service pack 3.

OPTIONAL FIX 1(May work)

Try deleting your game Config file. Located in Documents folder or in the Game folder. (Google it with game Edition)

Try deleting the save file. Often sometimes the game save file might get corrupted due to some inconsistency of the game, a virus or maybe because you screw around the game by modding or cheating. If so first make a backup of save file and try deleting the original. If that is the case then you might need to start the game from the beginning or download a save file. Location: BioWare\Mass Effect 3\Save in the Documents folder.

Try closing any unnecessary background processes or/and any screen recorder, fps overlay/counter and any antivirus. There is only a small chance for it to work, but you may try it.

The above fixed might not work if your game is in anyway corrupt. If so try verifying game cache and see if it helps. If all fails post a question on steam forums with a dxdiag error report and the community will help you. Most of these problems occurring with Pirated version of the game. If so try a different copy/version of the game or BUY IT. If you have any question related to the topic leave it in the comment section below. I or other users will help you out.
